Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TheCyberTools (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Rahul Sharma, collects, uses and protects information when you visit thecybertools.com (the “Site”). We are built privacy-first: the tools on this Site process your input entirely inside your own browser.

The short version

  • Our tools run client-side — the text, files and results you work with are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
  • We don’t require an account, and we don’t ask for personal information to use the tools.
  • Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical logs, and our advertising and any analytics partners may use cookies.
  • Preferences such as your saved tools and game high scores live in your browser’s local storage, on your device only.

Information we do not collect

Because our utilities execute locally in your browser (often inside a Web Worker), we do not receive, log, or store:

  • The text or data you paste into any tool (hashes, JSON, Base64, passwords, regex input, etc.);
  • Files you process, convert, or inspect;
  • The outputs, passwords, or results a tool generates for you.

This information never leaves your device, so there is nothing for us to sell, share, or lose.

Information collected automatically

When you visit any website, the hosting infrastructure typically records standard technical information for security and reliability, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, and the date and time of your request. We and our hosting provider use this data to operate the Site, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Local storage on your device

To make the Site more useful, we store small pieces of data in your browser’s localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us:

  • My Quick Tools — the tools and games you “save” as favorites;
  • High scores — your best results in our browser games;
  • Interface preferences — minor settings that improve your experience.

You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for thecybertools.com.

Cookies and advertising

We display advertisements to keep the Site free. To do this we may work with third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings . You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu .
  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (Google’s consent message) to ask for your consent to the use of advertising cookies before personalized ads are shown. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the consent controls, and ads and cookies are governed by the choices you make there.

For more information about how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services .

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site, such as page views, referring pages and general (non-precise) location. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process data on Google’s servers. In regions that require consent (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you consent through the consent prompt, which we operate with Google Consent Mode. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to opt out everywhere.

Third-party links and downloads

Our Software directory and blog link to external websites, including developers’ official download pages and GitHub releases. We do not host third-party installers ourselves. When you follow such a link, you leave our Site, and the destination’s own privacy policy and terms apply. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing.

  • Because the tools do not send us your input, most personal data never reaches us to begin with.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising outside the third-party cookie mechanisms described above, which you can opt out of.
  • To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Data security

The Site is served over HTTPS. Because your tool input is processed locally and not transmitted, the most sensitive data stays on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we do handle.

International users

The Site may be accessed worldwide. If you access it from outside the country where our infrastructure or service providers are located, your technical data may be processed in other countries with different data-protection laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site where appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
